For a few months now, Vivo has been showing the world teasers of its X5 Max Smartphone but it has now been finally launched in India on the 15th of December. Until recently the Oppo R5 was considered the world’s thinnest phone but this title has been taken over by X5 Max from Vivo.
What is interesting is that both Vivo and Oppo are brands of BBK electronics of China! Although, the initial images raised curiosity, the launch has now revealed the technological and aesthetic beauty of the X5 Max. The phone is only 4.75 mm in thickness!
Vivo has continuously been in the race to make the thinnest Smartphone and at times beating its own record too. The brand enjoyed the title in 2013 too when it launched the X3 and now with X5 Max it hopes to regain its crown.
How did Vivo Manage to manufacture such a Thin Phone?
The brand has very ingeniously removed a lot of material from behind the screen and put them on the sides. This includes removing almost 90% of the internals.
Another interesting fact about the phone is that it has not compromised on certain useful features that many people like such as the memory slot and even the 3.5 mm audio jack. These are still very much a part of the ultra thin phone.
